Meet Our Psychotherapists

The Relationship Counseling Center is the Bay Area’s premier center specializing
in couples' counseling. Our counselors are licensed psychotherapists experienced
in helping couples discover healthy ways to work through their relationship issues.
All of our counselors are experienced in working with couples and receive ongoing
training to be called specialists.  We share a common therapeutic style of being
interactive, heartfelt and direct.

Sara Bingaman, MFT

I love helping couples find their unique paths and rhythms by facilitating the hearing,
understanding and knowing of each other. Whether I am helping a couple move
through general stuckness and relationship dissatisfaction, infidelity, money issues,
struggles around sex, challenges brought on by the addition of a new baby and
possibly differing parenting styles, or just facilitating difficult conversations that it
feels there is never the right time to have, I intend to help each of you express your
experience and be heard and understood by the other.  I will also teach you easy
tools to practice outside of session. Along with holding a Master’s Degree in
Transpersonal Counseling Psychotherapy from JFK University, I am trained in
EMDR, EFT, and The Work of Byron Katie.  I am the Co-Founder of the San
Francisco Divorce Group.

When I am not working I might be found in my garden, hiking, playing and being silly
with my son, or being inspired by great poetry.
